Christmas Without the Cold at St. Petersburg’s Enchant Christmas

There might not be snow on the ground, but the holiday season in Tampa Bay is still full with plenty of magic and cheer, thanks to attractions like St. Petersburg’s Enchant Christmas event!

Experience Christmas in Florida at Enchant Christmas

For most of the year, St. Peterburg’s Tropicana Field is the home of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team. But from November 22 to January 2, Tropicana Field is transformed into a winter wonderland for Enchant Christmas. After a break in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, Enchant Christmas is back this year with festive lights, a skating rink, and other attractions sure to delight visitors of all ages.

At this year’s Enchant Christmas event, one of the main attractions is a colorful light maze. Visitors are tasked with navigating through the vibrant display to help a mischievous elf find some missing presents and deliver them to Santa before Christmas, and young visitors in particular will love exploring the “North Pole” to solve the maze. Along with the light maze, young guests will also enjoy the children’s landing area, where they can enjoy a Christmas-themed play area with an interactive light exhibit, tumble pads, and more. The children’s area also features coloring activities, and local artists occasionally stop with special crafts.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Christmas event without Santa! Enchant Christmas hosts nightly opportunities for children to visit with Santa. The lights and “snowy” background will create a perfectly picturesque and magical experience for children who want to share their Christmas wishes with Santa. Plus, parents can purchase professional pictures that will look great on holiday cards.

The whole family can also enjoy the ice-skating rink. Fashioned to look like a woodland trail and surrounded by hundreds of twinkling lights, Enchant Christmas’s skating rink makes guests feel like they’re in the center of a wintery paradise—even though St. Petersburg’s temperate weather is right outside!

Guests can even get their last-minute holiday shopping done at Enchant Christmas’s holiday market. Inspired by Nordic holiday villages, the shopping area features treats and souvenirs from dozens of local vendors. With vendors selling everything from Christmas decorations to sweet baked goods, guests can find everything from quick snacks to stocking stuffers, They can also pick out the perfect gifts to give to loved ones or use around their own homes to remember the magical experience of Enchant Christmas at Tropicana Field. The holiday village market also features live music and entertainment.
